Frequently asked questions

Can Candu replace Pendo as my Product Adoption Platform?

Candu can be an alternative for teams building onboarding, product tours, forms and embedded pages. Review the specific guides, targeting rules and integrations you use before migrating. If you rely on Pendo for product analytics, assess that requirement separately.

Can Candu replace Pendo's product analytics suite?

No. While Candu offers engagement analytics for in-app experiences, it's not designed to replace Pendo's robust product analytics suite. If you're heavily reliant on Pendo's advanced analytics features, you might consider using Candu for in-app experiences alongside a dedicated analytics tool.

How easy is it to migrate from Pendo to Candu?

Migrating from Pendo to Candu is straightforward. Candu's customer success team will help recreate your existing in-app experiences in Candu. They'll also turn frequently updated experiences into easily editable templates. The migration process involves installing Candu's JavaScript snippet, reviewing your new experiences, and then publishing them.

How does Candu's pricing compare to Pendo's?

Candu includes unlimited editors. Pricing scales with monthly active end users, and available features depend on the plan. Pendo lists Base, Core and Ultimate plans with custom MAU volumes and asks buyers to request pricing. Compare the same usage, features and billing term using the current Candu plans and current Pendo plans.

What are the key differences between Candu and Pendo?

Candu focuses on creating and targeting in-app experiences, including tours, checklists, modals, empty states and personalized pages. Pendo combines product analytics with in-app guides; its Core plan adds session replay. Consider Candu when your priority is the experience users see, and evaluate Pendo when you also need its product analytics suite.

Make the switch!

Why switch to Candu?

“I just love the editor. It's so easy to use but you can get really precise in what you need, whether it's like margin, padding customization on colors and whatnot. With other tools, I had to use CSS to override some of their more basic functionalities, which kind of took away the whole purpose of having a no-code tool.”
