Integry, an integration experience product, started with a previously sales-led business model; however, their growing customer base quickly proved the need for a product-led growth strategy. This meant a self-service approach within their platform. Integry implemented a Candu-built Onboarding Newsfeed to help activate their expanding list of new registrations and support their sales and customer success teams by reducing the amount of human-assisted interactions.
When Integry chose Candu, they already had existing designs for their Onboarding Newsfeed. The team opted to use Candu’s no-code embedded UI components rather than building it in-house. The DIY approach reduced their time to launch and empowered their wider team to easily update content at any time.
Speed was key. Upcoming marketing campaigns would inevitably create an influx of new registrations. The team had to establish a self-activation strategy that reduced reliance on the support team or technical CSMs.
The Onboarding Newsfeed focuses on the six core activation tasks that ensure users set up “published connectors” and “flows" so their own end users can set up Integry-built integrations. The ideal user outcome resulted in a relatively long activation path; however, the newly implemented video combined with the concise checklist now provides users with digestible information that’s built for the customer’s success. With a simplified process, users are less overwhelmed and new registrants can move at their own pace by completing tasks when it suits them.
Onboarding Newsfeed Highlights
- Quick overview video from Integry’s co-founder serves as a “welcome” touch point.
- “Get Started” checklist—outlines the key activation steps with clear CTAs and eye-catching icons that fit seamlessly into the existing UI.
- Resource cards link out to additional content, such as the help center and blog; a “share feedback” prompt triggers the chat widget.
